1983 Aero 50 tire
I just bought a 83 Honda Aero 50 the other day and I've never owned or even worked on one before, I was wondering if a 3.00-10 tire would fit on it? The tires on it are a little weathered.

Re: 1983 Aero 50 tire
Greetings:
Keep in mind that the '83 is a completely different scooter from the '85-later. What size is the one on there now?
Look all around and see the space you have between contact with the fender, crankcase, muffler, stand, etc. Going from a 2.50 to a 3.00 means you need more than a Quarter-inch of clearance. If you have a 2.75, then you need to see an eighth-inch of daylight. Remember a tire "grows" in diameter as speed increases...

I can tell you from experience on my 84' Aero that the rear tire has some pretty close clearances.
I replaced my with the 2.75's. (Original Size)

There are a lot of unique differences between the 83'-84' Aeros and the earlier ones.
I have "restored" mine from a junkyard state, so I can prob help you out with your issues in the future. Plus I can put eyes on eactly what you're talking about.
You're in a good place for info for sure. I'm a noob here, and these guys have been great.
