I disagree. Oiled Cotton works just fine. Bakaracer is selling some Kovered Kosos all the Kool Kids use. If you switch from one to the other, the carb may require re-jetting is all.
The only advantage to the UNI is that it's cheap and perhaps a bit lighter, so it doesn't stress the carb mount as much over bumps.

The one I got with my carb kit was built very poor. This just might be the one from autotech ? but I wouldn't use it on my bike :imo:

I have had no problems with those filters with under 80cc setups.

But 82cc and up just would not run right, no matter what my jetting was.

I'm going with white

I figure, the crank cover white, the shock white, all the unpainted trim will be OEM refresh sprayed black then the body work will be white

I want this thing to look factory as possible... other than the giant pipe ... and sounding like 10,000 weedwackers flying down the street

I have yet to find a shop that doesn't blast them before paint. It is part of proper prep. Does anyone sand rims anymore?

No commercial shop that's for sure, to time consuming.

so here is a good question

I bolted up the stock plastic shroud that covers the jug/head for air flow

since the bbk... is so... big, the shroud is touching the head

is the shroud going to melt? is this bad?
