Cutting out
I just rebuild the carb on my Elite-e and it seems to run good to a point , yesterday I rode about 30 miles and it ran great , this morning I rode it to work (25 miles ) ran great to work. Comming home from work it ran great for about 18 miles and then started cutting out as if i was turning off the ignition switch , it would cut out for a couple of seconds and kick back in right back up to 35 mph. then for about 3 miles it kept cutting out and speeding back uptill it finally died all together. after it died I hit the starter button , and it started right back up , and ran great the last 4 miles home. any ideas ? It did this one other time and I was told it was the carb ,this is why I rebuilt it.

Re: Cutting out
I just replaced the plug , but I also flushed out the fuel tank , it had a bunch of rust and debris in it , It sat in the hot sun for a week before I put it back in , but i supose i could have missed a few drops of water. I suppose some dry gas might be in order.

Re: Cutting out
Have you replace the fuel and vacuum line? I prefer clear ones as you can see what is going on.
Have you considered an addition inline fuel filter like the Aero 80 and 125 run?
Part Number 16910-GB2-900 About $8.00 list and I get them for about $5.50.
Being it is for the bigger cc scooters it will not restrict fuel flow, yet prevent any crap from reaching your carb.

Re: Cutting out
I replaced the fuel and vacume lines , with clear blue ones and i put an inline fuel filter ( for my sons polaris 90) for added protection. I replaced the plug with the one that the manual recamends for extended high speed driving. I ride it 50 miles a day. 25 to work and 25 home.
Its been doing great till recently. Im not over working it am I?

Re: Cutting out
Greetings:
Quoth BlasterDCCXVI:
I had this cutting-out issue with Flash I with a little paper-element filter. Complicating it was a funky bit of tubing I used for the vacuum petcock connection to the manifold. It wasn't very tight. It ran fine unless I went WOT for more than 20-30 seconds, whereupon the engine would cough and sniffle, only to come back to full power and the cycle repeated. I concluded that in low-vacuum situations, the petcock would close down as the leaky line brought it down to atmospheric.
Check the blue-tubing vacuum connections for tightness. If they're not the problem, I suspect you have a low-flow issue with the Polaris filter. I couldn't find a pic of the one I have online, but it looks a lot like This One, except that mine is clear and you can see the little cone of pumice filter element. Paper ones can't keep up with thirsty 'smoker demand. This one does.

Re: Cutting out
I agree with wheelman. Except I prefer the inline filter that Honda uses on the Aero 80 and Aero 125. I know it will not restrict fuel flow.
Honda Part Number 16910-GB2-900, about $5.00.

Re: Cutting out
Ok , I removed the inline filter , and still the same thing , in almost the same spot on my way home from work. after about 30 min. of continuious wot. at 35 mph. it starts cutting out. until it finally dies. once it dies I hit the starter and it fires right up and runs fine the rest of the way home. one other issue is when I have ridden it for a while , 15 min or so it doesn`t take off very well , i sometimes have to push off with my feet to get going , but after about 7 mph it picks up fine. It used to have great pickup for an e

Greetings:
Carry a spare spark plug and plug wrench.
Next time it stalls, pull the plug and replace. Take and post a pic if you can of the Stall plug.
