Aero vs Spree whats the difference?
So in the brochure all it says is " the one to go" and "faster" or whatever. Whats the deal are these both different 50 cc scooters honda made side by side the same year?

CVT Transmission with better gearing and has a variator making the aero superior.

Re: Aero vs Spree whats the difference?
Greetings:
I'll "Go" you one better. In 1987 Honda-san in his infinite wisdom had Three (Count 'em; 3!!) 50cc offerings. Besides the Aero and Spree, the SE50 Elite debuted that year. The Elite "S" as its side covers were labeled, featured the now-elusive 10:1 gearing, making it a hair faster than the Aero. I wonder how much cannibalization went on, as buyers fretted between the choices.

Strange and interesting. I feel lucky to have an aero they seem less prevalent and like a good machine.

The Spree is pretty small. I'd almost say it's diminutive.
I understand that the early Elite's were smaller than than the later ones, but my '97 is a lot more substantial than the Spree. The '97 weighs ~150 pounds and the Spree weighs ~95 pounds.

Re: Aero vs Spree whats the difference?
the aero is quite a bit bigger. Front suspension. cvt transmission. Also it is wider. It also has a bigger seat. 2 people can squeeze on an aero. Not happening on a spree.
Im pretty sure an early elite and aero are pretty similar. Biggest difference is the rounded plastics
