WAY too much gas!!
Hey everyone, it├óÔé¼Ôäós me again. I├óÔé¼Ôäóm going to apologize for always asking for help but I am a stupid mechanical noob so on with another story, my spree is getting way to much gas, when I kickstart it with the sparkplug out I can see the gas being shot out. So I took the cylinder head off put the piston as far down as it would go pushed a clean sock in the hole to dry up the gas. Then I would rub another sock in the exhaust hole because gas would start to drip out of that. I repeated this at least 25 times. I looked on the bottom of the C. head and noticed carbon buildup so I cleaned that off, then I looked into the piston and noticed some discolorization. I touched it and it was pretty rough so I wrapped a sock around a screw driver and rubbed at it(not with the point so I didn├óÔé¼Ôäót scratch the wall). It is still discolored but it├óÔé¼Ôäós smoother compared to before. So after it stopped spitting out the excess gas I put everything back together. I kicked it about 10 times, nothing happened took out a overly wet s. plug, put in a different one kicked it a bunch more, another soaked s .plug, put in another s. plug same thing. So I decided to open the screw on the bottom of the carb that lets gas out, nothing barely came out. I'm sure the carb should have more gas in the bowl area so is the gas somehow bypassing the carb and going directly to the piston or is my spree a POS? I really believe it is, because I drove it two days earlier and it seemed to run better then it used to and now all of a sudden it doesn't work.

if u did the same as me u got the gas and vacume line backwards so gas never gets to the carb it just goes strait to the engine stop trying to starty it. mine caught fire once that way. almost lost the ped
I don't think I have them upside down, The big hose is on the top of the petcock and the carb(since they both have big fittings) while the smaller one is on the bottom(with the smaller fittings) at least if I remember correctly.
Main jet.........let me think.........I am sure it is the right one I haven't changed it and it ran fine before so......I'll check that 2morrow. I don't feel like going out to the garage(it's 10:47 p.m. here)

how about i put this in different words, when i put the big hose(it comes from the top of the petcock) into the valve that is the "reed valve?" it seems too loose, but stays connected. When I put the smaller hose(bottom on the petcock) onto the valve on the carb it is way to tight, and very hard to take off. I tried to start it anyway and not a drop of gas went into the carb. So I believe the other way was correct. But then I go back to getting way to much gas. Should I just quit because I am getting extremely pist off and feel like setting the d*** thing on fire?!!
