Great idea, Jamz!

Those "Unite Motors" from schwinn and currie electric bikes actually are pretty strong and last quite a while! The shop I work at is the ONLY service center for Razor / Currie / Schwinn in a 500 mile radius... We see all the broken ones!

Also better check your Transmission oil level. You've lost your plug.

The only problem with electric motors is that with out a fairly complicated controller, they are at WOT the instant you turn them on.

You are correct bear for a change. lololol(just kidding). The electric motor is wot and is actually hard to controll the torque of the electric motor if to strong for the application. I am suprised you did not install the chain to the pulley so the clutch could actually work. To be honest one day electric will be bad * in scooters and motorcycles. The torque and power is sick in some of the electric motors they have on the market today. This year I saw at one of our desert races a Husqavarna electric dirt bike. It was bad *.

That is a 24v motor that spins @ 2500 rpm's

Bear- The controllers are really not too bad and can be found on the web scooterparts4less.com

Taz- was going to try and use the spree clutch.....but I don't think that the 24v motor spins fast enough to engage it.

Swimmingfree- The other wires go to the stator on the spree engine......this is just a mock up motor that was lying around.

zuphilius- no worries about the plug.....this is still just getting mocked up. The final version will have a plug.

Wheelman111- I think I will keep the oil injection on this one......premixing is such a hassle
