heck yea i wanna get this thing fixed before winter sets in I hate cold weather. as soon as i get her running i can polish the plastics. gotta make a seat cover and cut a new piece of foam for the seat too otherwise plastics are in pretty good shape its gonna look good when i get done

got her all back together, tried to crank no gas. took the valve off hte tank and it was full of sediment and the fuel strainer had broken and fallen apart. blew it out with the air hose, hooked the gas back up. ITS ALIVE hahah it cranked right up even though smoke boiled out of the exhaust but that is to be expected, compression at least 120 she even sat and idled gotta take the carb back off and adjust the tab fuel pouring out the overflow and oil leaking out around the header from all the extra oil i poured in the head to lube the cam and rockers. had to get me a bite to eat but thought i would share the news. I had to redo the whole top end but its was really easy I cant believe I got it timed on the first try without taking the side cover off to look at the flywheel the valves from the 86 rebel 250 work great. gotta take one of hte mount bolts back out to bolt down the clutch cable stay and take the side cover off to put the chain on, maybe i can take her for a ride this evening before it gets dark

I dont think anyone wants to see a video, with all the smoke that is coming out of her you can barely see it hahahha I believe the smoke to be a combination of all the oil i poured in the head and the fact that it is flooding. gotta get a fuel filter so trash will stop obstructing the float valve

Yea do you think it will take long to burn the oil off?
