Would my 86cc Ministroker hold up to a small shot of nitrous?

Re: Nitrous
-I think the best answer is it *may* hold up, but not for long for sure... I had a buddy put a tiny shot on a ruckus, and he didn't make it more than 10 minutes of riding before one of his internals broke- can't remember what exactly broke; I think it was the piston...
Nitrous shouldn't be inhaled / "wasted" by vehicles...
-just my opinion... j

Re: Nitrous
There is a kit called "Sneaky Pete" made by NOS
it fits under your side panel
I will see if I can find some pics of mine when it was on the CPI I had
I had it on about a 2hp nozzle in mine, best $400 I have spent

Re: Nitrous
A dry shot is a great way to ruin your engine. 2-stroke engines do not do well on nitrous. Major lubrication and heat issues.

Re: Nitrous
Sure do!!
Only use one if your using it on a 4stroke
Makes for some great burn outs though!!

Re: Nitrous
if you don't melt the piston , you'll certainly find out what the other weak link in the motor is

if you melt your piston, wouldn't that be the weak link?

if he DOESN'T melt it , next to go would either be the rod , ringlands ,crank ,bearings,etc..

Re: Nitrous
Yea I dont think they make a forged kit for scooters?
Would be cool if they did

Re: Nitrous
just build a full stroker, it makes nos a joke if you build it right
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!
Re: Nitrous
You really are a moron. It takes a very big blower to make the NOS does and a stroker won't get the job done.maddog wrote:just build a full stroker, it makes nos a joke if you build it right

Re: Nitrous
We ran nitrous on our laydown drag scoot with no issues... Tru72 has the cyl and piston now and can vouch for its condition.
Tru also ran nitrous and will probably chime in here.
The only concern I have is reed valve life.. I dont like the -40 degree shot of nitrous freezing the reeds... and the nozzel is only an inch or two from the reeds.
I think tru said he had issues with cracking the reed cage on nitrous.
But the nitrous is going on our new scooter

Re: Nitrous
Would it make a diffrance if it was one the 6 finger reed blocks or the 3 finger reed blocks?
Re: Nitrous
I cant answer that as I have only run the Kiesler reed/intake system with nitrous. I should know a lot more after next season.
Re: Nitrous
Six petal reeds are for best all around performance. They help the bottom end more than the 4 petal reeds do and they may give up a little bit on the top end. The 4 petal are for all out top end.sliding_subaru wrote:Would it make a diffrance if it was one the 6 finger reed blocks or the 3 finger reed blocks?
