Man-O-man... That's such a CLEAN NS50F!! Ive never seen one that clean, except when I was about 10 years old at the Honda dealer! I remember seeing it and falling in love; I thought that the fact that it was a 2 stroke streetbike was really cool! I also figured that it would go with my pink "JAMS" shorts and teal "Hypercolor" shirt perfectly! Haha! Great times being a kid; daydreaming about ruling the 'hood with an NS50; all the kids on their scooters would be so jealous...

Awesome purchase man, let the fun begin!!

Sanjuro,

Does your NS have a "crash bar" on the left side?? I see the black "loop" on the left side close to where the exhaust exits the cylinder... It may be a shadow or just the way I'm looking at it-

It has those loops on each side that serve as the crash bar. Solidly mounted too.

Wow, I guess that the p.o. added those crash bars because the NS was used as a "trainer" bike! I think the crash bars actually look really good!

No sir! I have never seen an NS with any kind of crash - tipover bar on it before! They must have done a great job on installing it; because you never even noticed it was not stock!

When it's daylight I'll take some more pics of it. It looks completely OEM.

Ohhhh wait wait wait...

I'd bet that "crash bar" is really the mounting bracket for the OEM optional lower engine plastic cowling!

There was an optional lower engine cowl, a louvered radiator shroud, a headlight cowl with windshield, and an optional tach.

-that would be my idea on that "loop" we are seeing!

I just looked up a photo I had downloaded from Google images. Apparently, part of the optional Hondaline accessories included: fairing, radiator shroud, lower cowl, tachometer and engine guard.

Cool! Ya learn something every day... I had never heard that Hondaline offered an "engine guard." definitely a cool optional part to have!! I guess now I'll be on the lookout for a Hondaline engine guard for my NS! That would be really cool!

I already have the CF POSH frame slider kit; but you can never have too much "protection..." Aka "double bag your stuff." :bowrofl:

- thanks for sharing your findings, Sanjuro- j
