Have you got the carb and intake kit yet when you do you will see that it wont bolt up the adapter that comes with the kit is for the NQ50 not the SE50 you will still need to make a adapter plate

The gasket did not match up perfectly, but pretty close. The kit is installed now. the motor is not completed yet but everything is bolted on and the piston seems to move fine etc.

Where do I get my head did?

would any machine shop have a clue about this? do I tell them the specs?

Currently I have 2 head gaskets on it right now.

Now that I think more about it the base gasket did seem a little off when i went to line it up. Could the ports be totally different? If they are can I get the jug machined to match?

Your local machine shop should b able to do it just give them the head and the new head gasket and tell them to machine the head to suit the new gasket

i would pull the jug off and double check the base gasket and the ports on the block

When I get home from work Ill pull it apart. Now worst case if the ports do not line up, how would i correct this?

most machine shops can do the head job :D when I had mine done i had them match it to the cylinder and cut the squish band at a 12 or 14 degree angle cant rember exactly which angle i had them cut but that was for the af16 not sure about the afo5. Though it did cost 65 dollars to machine it O.o if i had known that I would have gotta a kit with a matching head

size of the bore in MM and the angle of the squish. I took the bore and piston so they could match it up perfectly

Isnt that the 4 bolt mani. The regular ct intakes dont fit that engine??

If you are using two head gaskets your port timing will not be affected but your compression will go down a little if I remember correctly. Just take the head, piston, and head gasket to the machine shop and they will know what to do. Easy money. :)

I saw you got another scooter :coolcruise: You already addicted. hehehehehe

It will bolt on but there is a gap where the engine will just suck in air instead of pull in the carbureted intake charge. It is just an oversized plate to cover the gap is all.

I wonder with the adapter plate included i could just add the extra 2 holes to bolt it down? I guess it would depend on if it covers the opening or not?
