Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
I know I've never seen a factory floor mat. Obviously bolts down to the deck. I bet that is an option that most buyers passed on back in the day. thanks, now I have to look for one...
Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
you CAN get a rubber mat and cut it up to fit. I think 66Six made his out of carpet on one of his spree. I have been thinking of making a floorboard out of steel plate that has the diamonds on it
then again I would like an original honda floormat for at least 1 of my Spree

Motormike,
The basket is Honda OEM... I was able to get it off of fleabay a couple of years ago. Holds my cooler for 'pops' and beach towel while riding to the community pool during the summer. Also fits a bag of groceries from the store, too. My grown kids don't like how it looks, but it sure is handy. They outgrew the scooter, I just never did!

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
I've had a rear basket since the day I got my Spree in 1985. Just recently acquired the front basket. Both are now at the powder coater. I will have them back around the new year.

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
Have to admit, there is a lot of utility with 'em. The rubber coating on mine is in great shape, but the bracket had rust, which I sanded and painted with aluminum rustoleum. I probably have more money in this little bike than I will ever see, but I tell the wife it is cheaper than buying a Porsche.

That doesn't work for me.brobc wrote:Have to admit, there is a lot of utility with 'em. 10 scooters
2 quads
2 trailers for hauling the scooters and quads
4 boats and motors (two of them have 2 mounted) with trailers and 8 spare motors
My old race motor, totally rebuilt and ready to race sitting on a stand in the basement
2 trucks
A dedicated gun room with built in safe for 90 rifles and 50 handguns, a reloading bench with 7 reloading presses & accessories. I would have to look to tell you how many guns there actually are but the oldest is from 1873. Oh yeah, and it's own computer, dedicated to gun stuff only.
The Porsche would have been cheaper.

LOL... My wife asked what I was laughing about. I explained your response Bear and she said,"Why would anyone have that many scooters?" My response to her was simply... "Because he can"... She just doesn't get it!
Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
*, I once had that many boats. Two of real race boats, 6 runabouts from 12 foot to 18 foot and two cabin cruisers, one 18 feet and the other 24 feet. All the scooters fit in one of my garage bays.brobc wrote:LOL... My wife asked what I was laughing about. I explained your response Bear and she said,"Why would anyone have that many scooters?"
