Alright, didnt make much progress today because I couldnt stand to stay out in the cold. But, I did find out that I had a small gas leak coming from my petcock. Wandering if this prevented vacuum... Also, when turning throttle to halfway open, and kicking, the throttle really had no receptiveness. I would twist it and it wouldnt twist back after I let off of it and sometimes it would stick a little bit. Once I put my fingers to the intake and did as mentioned, I felt no gas touch my fingers. Still need to go get a compression tool and check for spark.

To see if your petcock is working is easy. Pull the vacuum line which is hooked up to intake manifold. Unhook the fuel line from the carb. Then suck on the vacuum line and if you see gas come out of the fuel line your petcock is working. Sometimes if the scooter has been sitting the diaphragm can get stuck and needs to be persuaded to open again. lol. Now there should be next to no draw on the vacuum line. If there is a consistent draw either your vacuum line has a crack in it or the diaphragm in the petcock is bad.

Also your throttle cable should not be sticking. You need to look at that. That can give you problems also. You can call me if you need to.

Based on the picture above, how many degrees do I need to turn the head for it to he facing in the right direction?

I just get her running today. I had great compression and great spark I just wasnt getting any fuel fed into the carb which was the main culprit. As for the sticky throttle, it was because when I attached it to the carb I had a piece backward. I still have to flip the head around and I broke my shrouds in the process of reassembly but will be talking to spree picker to get some more soon. Glad to have her up and running again though. Thanks for all the help!

Haha. Sure thing. Now I plan to make it a complete spree and restore it to original condition piece by piece.

I do have a couple questions that pertain to part compatibility. Will my elite e wheels, shrouds, coil and plug wires fit my spree?

Also, directed primarily towards Taz, if I put my sb50p exhaust on my spree, what will be the effect? Could it help with acceleration any?

Yes to wheels and coil. The sb50p exhaust willperform slightly better. You will need to check for clearand if installing it on a spree frame

Swapped the coil over and put on the sb50p exhaust and thought it had somewhat better acceleration. (every little bit counts). Took her out for five slow miles today (never topping 15 on the new piston/rings/bore) and it did very but one thing concerns me. Which is a small vibration that pulsates in 10-30 second increments. Any suggestions?

Think I figured it out. One of my exhaust screws was loose then rattled the other one loose. Too bad I didn't notice before it bounced repeatedly into my plastics causing minor melting.

I have a good amount of oil leaking out of my exhaust port on my spree. I have it pretty tight but it continues to leak. Do I just need a new gasket? If so, where would I find one?
