Part does not exist

Post by TikiMan »

Ive looked at two websites and the gentleman at Honda could not locate it on his screen. Im looking for the rear brake pin that bolts through the transmission. Not the one that attaches to the brake cable, the stationary pin. Any clues where to look or can I just replace it with a bolt and seal it up with some rtv?

That sucks...haven't heard of that one before. Did it break off or fall out? Just use the front brake?

I had the cases sandblasted and when I got home and looked at it. I noticed that the peg was not there. Its not in any of my bags of hardware.

He said it's not the one that attaches to the brake cable, the stationary pin so i doubt it's #6. It's not even in the diagram. It's the pin on the other end of the brake pads.

Its called the anchor pin. Weird it has been overlooked in the parts microfiche, but I think that was common with alot of vehicles (no oem replacement parts) I would guess its a reused part throughout many models tho.
I dont think you'll be able to use a regular bolt since it bolts on the inside of the trans case, looks to have an o ring so that no oil leaks to other side of case.
edit: quick search has ebay link with pic, top left http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Elite-50- ... vi-content please note its for sb50 but they all look the same

If that hole is between the bearing and the seal, it is an oil drain.
