Has anyone tried this chamber pipe? It is the racing exhaust for 65 to 90cc from Jianwayne.
It would fit my setup right now. I am concerned about the noise level if it's a bit too loud.
Honolulu has a noise pollution law and the loud mopeds tend to be more frequent targets of 'inspection' and 'random checking'.
The price is quite reasonable at $139 USD and the shipping costs are reasonable as well.
Does anyone else sell something similar? I've seen similar pipes but they cost twice as much and out of my current budget.
thanks for your input Traffijamz, I appreciate it.
That's what I figured. My SEF black is loud enough that people tend to look at where that hellish sound is coming from. I had minor fitment issues after swapping out my SEF black for the Honda Goshi. I wish my SEF black was as quiet as the Goshi but it's not.
My current setup is actually tuned for the SEF, so I'll be putting it back on soon. I just wanted to go 'super sleeper' mode for a little while. The SEF black idles very quietly but it'll scream like a dying banshee at WOT. I like the tone of the SEF black but when it's wailing.
I wanted to try this racing exhaust to compare the tone and loudness of the SEF black. If it wasn't that much louder, I'd run it.
Someone here said that the stock pipe is good for 55mph, and yeah. It is. (the Honda Goshi stock pipe).
The JW Chamber is louder than the PG Long I had, and nowhere NEAR as good performance. I'm not sure if the JDM tail solves the problem, but that pipe runs afoul of the stock rear turn signal. I had a welder cut-and-twist the "U" section so it was a little outboard. I shouldn't have bothered. VT gets the PG Long or Short to you for around $150. Both run circles around that chamber for both 72 and 90ccs.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.
