Messin' around with my spare rear fender, adding some extensions for the wide tires. Work in progress...

siggy wrote:I know just what you mean. Spent lots of time pondering the rear wheel situation. I'm not using any adaptors. :-).

It started with some eBay Suzuki LT80 atv rims. 1.5 neg offset 4.125 positive / 8x5.625 size. The set I bought had dual bolt pattern of 3/120 and 4/80. After dremeling off the three little locator tabs on the Gyro hubs, they bolted right on. The problem was they were sent drilled off-center. Not concentric. I had to re-drill them but the 1.5 negative offset was the key for Gyro application.
The information in this post is priceless...it should be the first post in a new thread of "Tech-Tips for Gyro" instead of burried here in the General thread. .... :imo: ....where it will be found easily by members and visitors looking for bigger tire options on Gyro.....will you accommodate this request mousewheeels... :?: ...you're the man :thumbwink:

...the sweet thing about what you have done is the way the hump fit the contour of the lip and drop the outer edge down to an attractive profile...not some mud-flap-lookin' extension. Well, here's another one for the new thread, thanks to the siggy....

I will create a "Wiki" Gyro page. It's the best for 'keepers'. We copy photos etc. Pics on the threads can get lost if hosted in externally.

Lot of good stuff in this thread - petcocks, tires, wheels, LED's, compatible parts, Custom stuff. Thanks gang!

I'm pretty sure that the pilot jet is not removable in a gyro carb. If you use a K&N pod filter, and upjet the main, you will still be left with an undersized stock idle circuit without Wheelman-type modification of pilot jet.Following pix are for all to see, especially graphite9.... :thumbwink: ....pm me brandon if these parts will help you.... :urban:
