Glad you got out Bear !

Took my SA50 to get inspected yesterday (40 min ride)....was very light rain (but not enough to get the pavement wet) & 46F...burrr
Wore the Aerostitch, gauntlet gloves, full face helmet, & boots - bet I was a real site to see riding the scooter in all that gear !

Stopped to fill up with gas - spent $3.00 - had to laugh out loud
Gawd I love the gas mileage on this scooter !!!

I tell you what, CNI Dawg...I have achieved 104 mpg on a 1986 Elite 80...I know you're riding a 50...how good are you doing ??

Sorry to say I haven't checked it yet

Would be nice to have a trip odometer to make it easier - always forget to write down the milage when I fill up

Put a piece of tape on the gas cap that says odometer milage or something like that. Every gas station has receipts and a pen that you can record it on.

Have to say yes, brakes apply pretty equally. Since the right side is the drive wheel, maybe the wear due to
the tire trying to apply traction in the right turns and resulting in some loss of grip...
All that brute force of the gyro motor.....

I usually have a pen on me, but sometimes I don't.
I'll have to keep track of mileage too. I want to figure out how much I'm getting.
motormike, those mpg numbers are impressive
I probably won't achieve any high marks due to my inconsistent, sometimes frequent occurrences of WOT fever
some episodes last longer than others depending on outside conditions.
I think I'm just lucky that I live in a place that I can ride year round.
so there really isn't a first ride of a season for me.
Although now we're currently in our 'winter' season, which is our rainy season.
It's been raining off and on for the last couple of weeks and I'm starting to tire of the putting on the rainsuit over the riding gear dance routine
ah well, it's the price to pay for riding!
yeah I still ride when it's 'pouring'. There was lightning (rare occurrence here) one night during the ride home.

The Elite 80 is a 4 stroke, so it cheats on the mpg thing. No 2 stroke is ever going to match 4 stroke's mpg numbers. My Aero 80 averages 80 mpg and on a flat slow mpg run was 84 mpg.

Yep! Me, too. Each scooter has a cheap little ring binder style notebook, with a pencil shoved through the rings. It helps me keep track of mileage, and on the four strokes, the time between oil changes, air filters, etc.
My memory isn`t as good as it used to be, and it never was good.

I have 6 rifles and one pistol in 45/70, I also cast some of my bullets and I load my own cartridges, From Black Powder load for my original "Trapdoor" to my Ruger #1. Not only is the 45/70 a part of American history but it is my favorite rifle cartridge.
