yeah you tied it open after it was giving you problems. you should have done that when you were putting the motor together. run a b8hs plug since your street riding. the 9 will foul at traffic lights.

I kinda wrote it wrong when I was first typing it up, but I wired it open after I took the stock jug off. I was just wound up when I was typing that all up. But from what I'm learning even doing that doesnt offer enough oil to keep the BBK happy. I'm going to premix from now on I think. But onto the plugs again. I dont mean to sound like I'm questioning your expertise because obviously its vastly superior to mine when it comes to this stuff. but I do mostly very long distance riding, and rarely have any traffic lights on my routes. Its mostly WOT or very close to it.

I got the Malossi head with the kit.

then go with the b9hs plug. keep in mind that once your in stop and go traffic, the plug will load up and possible foul out quick. try the 8 first thats a whole 2 steps colder than the plug you were using.

I have 9s coming so I'll grab some 8s and try them both. Maybe do a plug chop for both after break in. Which would be safer to use during the break in period? I would assume the 8?

Good call. I forgot how humid it gets here in the summer. What about jets for the new carb?

starting jetting point 45 pilot 115 main air fuel screw 2 turns out needle clip 1 up from center. get a 42,48 pilot jet too and 108,110,112,118 main jet as the weather changes so will the jetting.

a 18 or 19 or 21mm carb would have been better to get. but you can get the 24 one to work. its going to eat way more gas and more noise.power and topspeed wont be any better.

The reason the 24mm is suggested is because it works well and is cheap, whereas a 21mm OKO usually need to be gone though in order to run right, maybe they have fixed them, but I have yet to see one work well out of the box. Of course you could always get the spanish made 19mm.

I have always had trouble with my 21mm it has always dumped gas out the top vent no matter how I adjust it now no matter what pilot I put in it I have to turn it all the way in to idle right and at random times it starts pouring fuel out the bottom drain. I will know for sure in a few days whether it is complete junk
