Getting pretty irritated.....

Re: Getting pretty irritated.....
Sounds like neither CAPT or Mystic knows diddly about carbs. The castings on the 21 and 24 (as are the 26, 28 and 30mm carbs) are identical except the milled holes thru the carb for air is smaller on the 21. The float bowl and stuff are the same, so both your theories are BS.

I was flying carburated 2 stroke powered airplanes in the late 1950's.CAPT wrote:Isnt a carb the thing with spark in it? Besides what would you know about them, I was flying paper airplanes well after you were born. I made them from notebook paper, carboard, old envelopes and even newspapers.Sounds like neither CAPT or Mystic knows diddly about carbs.

Re: Getting pretty irritated.....
There are plenty of sources that state that the 21mm OKO has problem with its airflow circuits, even some sites that recommend drilling out the passages while I like it when its working I am not the only one whos 21 spits gas out the top vent no matter how the float is adjusted. How about this, which one of you wants to test my 21mm on your scoot???

Re: Getting pretty irritated.....
Your problem is an improperly set float as is every other moron who's carb does this. Oh and haphazardly drilling carb passages will ruin the carb every time. You really can't fix stupid, even with duct tape.Mystic wrote:There are plenty of sources that state that the 21mm OKO has problem with its airflow circuits, even some sites that recommend drilling out the passages while I like it when its working I am not the only one whos 21 spits gas out the top vent no matter how the float is adjusted. Re: Getting pretty irritated.....
No the float is properly set which is why its confusing why it would spit gas out. Have you even owned a 21mm OKO before?? Highly unlikely since you brag about EVERYTHING while only half of what you say is true. Just like stupid, duct tape cant repair the ravages of old age

Re: Getting pretty irritated.....
I suggest you pull the bore off and see what's going on inside first before you get into this whole carb thing to much. Then go from there.

Re: Getting pretty irritated.....
I'm taking the engine out and bringing it up to my apartment in the morning.
Re: Getting pretty irritated.....
It can only spit out fuel in two cases. Bad reeds and then it would be a b**** to start or a float setting is too high. You have no other choices and you really don't know s*** about how carbs work. Oh and just because some moron posted their lack of knowledge on the net does not make it right.Mystic wrote:No the float is properly set which is why its confusing why it would spit gas out. Re: Getting pretty irritated.....
Greetings:
There is one more possibility: the flost valve isn't sealing. A hunk of errant spooge from a rusty tank or just a bad needle/seat?
Don't drill anything until you check this out. Consider an inline Cone O, Stone filter.

Pictures first, then questions. Probobly some stupid ones but it doesn't hurt to ask. Then after all that we can add a sprinkling of verbal chastisement.
