oil pump/BBK question

Post by SuprasNsprees »

i just assebmled the Taz "stage 3" kit on my spree, and am very near the point where it's time to fire it up. all i need to do is sort out my oiling system.

so i searched and found that a lot of people say to disable the factory pump, and just run straight up premix. i've somehow got myself convinced that i should just screw another barb in the CT manifold, run the stock oiler, AND a little pre-mix on top of it. seems a little more logical than destroying a perfectly good oil pump.

thanks in advance

Some have mentioned tying the pump open as well.

All that tying the pump wide open is oils the * out of it at lower RPM.

SuprasNsprees, The pump/partial; pre-mix thing will work.

Speaking of pre-mix, did you get your 24mm carb on your NH80 yet bear? Wondering what mix you had to run.

No, the scooter is in my shop and the parts are there but I got kicked back onto restricted duty. I see the doc tomorrow and hope to be released again.
