Need Your 2 Cents

Post by Accolay »

So, I'm still around. I still have a dumpy non-running scooter in my garage I haven't made a decision about.
But I'm still looking... and I see this: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/m ... 60175.html
,,5800 miles,,NO TITLE i lost it and its not in my name I RODE THIS MACHINE 3 YEARS WITHOUT PLATES AND IT WAS LEGAL under the nonmotorized foot scooter LAW..which sez ( cant make left hand turns),,,,,read it before engament of vocals ,,prtty rough body,,,I left machine outside for two years and brakes froze ,,I tried to unstick them but not good enough for the strets...right blinkers gone,,engine fine but it would not run right after sitting so I put on new carb and that worked for acouple hours then the old gas scewed that up to SO IT DONT RUN AT THIS TIME,,,I should have removed fuel,,,9528184388if You want to view,,I its 2001 49cc and the seat lock was drilled out,,tires are good,,,seats good,,lights good,,electric good,,2 mirrors good,,front and back panel good,,
I wonder how hard it would be to get going? What would you offer on a non-titled scooter with most parts? I am fairly confident I can procure a title, as I have done this before, but so far, it seems like it's at least $100 extra with parts and title. No real offense towards the seller though, but there is no way it's legal here without a plate, so I'm not sure I'm dealing with the sharpest tool from the shed, or maybe this is some teenage kid- so I'm not so sure I want to go too low on the price.

Whatcha think? $140 fair? Or am I just cheap?

It doesn't matter what a seller asks, that is just a price. Something is only worth what someone else will and can pay.

I would start at $100 and leave some * room. Even if he won't budge, if the frame is straight, I would be driving away with it in the bed.
