Re: Gyro - general thread
I really think there should be some ventilation in the cover. Mainly, to allow heat excape. I suppose there is enough air for the carb to breathe.

I think you are thinking of lovers Mike. Louvers can be bought for under $20 and then weld them in.motormike wrote:....louvers are cool, but expensive.

Re: Gyro - general thread
IDEA FROM NOWHERE. I want to put a tachometer on my gyro. not just for show and tell but for good reason and for tuning later on. can some one PLEASE help me figure out how i would do this. I know you can put one on a ruckus but i dont want just ruckus riders to have this. i want to open things up for gyro riders.

The basic models just wrap around your plug wire. Then you program or set the switch to 2t. Doublesided tape holds it to the panel between your legs.gyromaniac wrote:IDEA FROM NOWHERE. Re: Gyro - general thread
Great aftermarket finds. Sure wish we could buy the Gyros to go with them in the US!

Re: Gyro - general thread
thanks mouse!
while i was at autozone. i figured i would start another project for my gyro. since the 84 gyro has a fuel gauge and the 85 and 86 doesnt, why not add one? i spent $40 total for the sender unit and the gauge. you can see on the gas tank where ther is supposed to be a gauge but honda didnt put one in. probably to save on production cost.
does anyone know where to get a stage6 digital tach. if not what is a good digital tach that has a fast refresh rate and is some what inexpensive.

Re: Gyro - general thread
progress report on my gyro gas gauge/repaint wheels job. got the wheels back from sand blasting and i'm about to finish up my gas gauge for my gyro.
I will be posting a topic soon in the scooter builds on how I put in my fuel sender and all the mods necessary to make it fit in the tank. total cost: $41.23

Re: Gyro - general thread
It could just be me but I am thinking
Honda never put in a gas gauge because when it leans
you would never get an accurate reading ...
Just my guess.
