Auto Bystarter jet size?

Does anyone here know what the auto bystarter jet size is? This is the jet that is installed in the float bowl that feeds the chamber in which the auto bystarter pick up tube fits down into.
I am having one heck of a time getting this jet unclogged by using only cleaners/ solvents.
I know that everyone has heard that one should never, ever clean out a jet with a piece of wire but this is only partially true.
Any kind of hard steel wire, such as guitar or piano wire is definitely a no no, the same goes with brass wire too, however soft copper wire is harmless.
I am referring to a single strand of copper wire plucked out of an extension cord or speaker wire. The copper is softer than the brass jet or the aluminum/ pot metal that the carburetor is made out of and will not aggressively scratch or deform/ enlarge the jet orifice.
If I can size the copper wire to slightly less than the jet orifice this reduces the chance that the wire will bend, as they love to do, and make cleaning easier.

I can only say that i bought a set of jet-cleaners some 25 years ago. I've replaced them once and use them with every cleaning. They were made for the purpose of cleaning jets. They work. I have never had a bad result by using them. The possibility of damaging a jet exists. If we were talking jets in the carbs of a Merlin powered P-51, then maybe I would'nt use them. In a scooter, yeah....

I went through a quite a few solvents and couldn't get mine to unclog... It finally did after 20 some odd minutes in a hot water/vinegar bath in an ultrasonic cleaner... May be worth a shot.

FWIW - I had a "completely clean" carb before I threw it in the ultrasonic... This was after a chem dip soak, an acetone soak... boiling it in lemon juice ETC... You should have seen the crap that came off of it in the ultrasonic.

I also hear great things about cleaning with pine-sol. Google "pinesol carburetor" and see what I'm talking about.

Thank you for the Pine-Sol technique! I has got to smell better than Berrymans B9 Chemdip! The next go around with a carb, I'll try it first.
I decided to just drill the darned thing out with a piece of sharpened twisty-tie wire. I figured what the heck, it's just an enriching device for starting, not a fuel circuit responsible for cruising down the road. The wire went in easy so I know that it was similar sized or slightly smaller than the Honda-San hole. FWIW the wire measured out at 0.0146" diameter. There were signs of water contamination in the float bowl, nothing serious (can you say "Ya better drain and flush the fuel tank?"). I was not surprised to find nothing but the whitish tan junk that water leaves behind coming out of the jet, no brass. No wonder carb cleaner could not clean it. It does not really affect the mineral deposits that were causing the clog.

While I have seen SOME carburetors with a jet in a float bowl well I havent seen it on any motorcycle/scooter carbs.

The hole size is inconsequential. Flow is limited by the pickup tube and the bystarter. As long as fuel can flow easily into the well the bystarter can work.
