Re: spree motor swap to elite
kingkamehameha did a motor swaphttp://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewto ... p&start=45 scroll further down to see the motor mount that he used.
You'll need to fabricate a motor mount and a shock mount as well.
There's a few members who have done this motor swap so I hope they'll give you their advice as well.
Take a look at the Parts for Sale, I can't remember if someone was selling a motor mount to do just that.
You could always post a Want To Buy (WTB) ad for one.
Good luck with this conversion! It's well worth it after you've done it!
I have the Elite S motor in my Elite E and I'm pretty happy with the speeds I'm going

There is zero welding required when using the se50 mount. Also welding the shock mount isnt required. Mabey just a few tack welds to keep the bolt in place

Thanks Guys! Finding a se50 mount may be harder than modifying the one i have. Also i plan on using the stock shock, do i need to place that by the cdi as someone posted on your wall? or should i just get a whole new shock?

I would be finding a better shock...stock Spree is pretty crap...and does it even fit the case...IDK

Re: spree motor swap to elite
You can use the spree shock but it sits a little lower than the elite shock would in the rear. your shock mount location will determine whether you be able to use the spree shock without having to cut the rear plastic

Doesn't have to be an se50 mount, you cut cut an af16 mount too.cfaulkstlouis wrote:Thanks Guys! Finding a se50 mount may be harder than modifying the one i have. Re: spree motor swap to elite
yup. AF16E is good for hot rodding.
It's the one that I have transplanted in my SB50 (Elite E).

Re: spree motor swap to elite
now go race this af16 modded spree against supranspree's stage 3 modded spree.
does the af16 run very good with that K&N type filter on there? make sure it is all derestricted and upjetted.

The se 50 mount requires cutting only
the af16 mount requires a cut and a reweld to the stopper
