What bikes are they riding that you need to keep up with?rob_plum wrote:I am using this thing to ride to school and work just to save gas I'm a wounded vet just making this a little project but i need this spree to get up and go a little... There are 4 of us that ride together a couple times a week for fun, its just a good time. I do not want to swap out anything I just want to know where to buy the kits for this spree and who to talk to...so if you could kindly direct me in the way of where to get everything i need to make this thing a little quicker i'd appreciate thank you.

There's almost nothing available to speed up a Spree - and for good reason. It's impossible to get any speed out of a Spree. You can always sell a Spree since they're useful as pit bikes. Then buy an Elite or Dio which are way more snappy scooters with lots of speed parts. You should be able to find a '90's Elite or Dio for about $500 in good running condition that can out-run a Spree with one hand tied behind your back. But easily good for 50mph with some speed parts!

its not that i need to keep up with them i just wanted the spree a little snappier for in town in traffic i don't need a crazy fast just something to make it get up and go a little bit thats all...

Well, for about $3000, you should be able to build up a nice Spree that will keep up with a $500 Elite or Dio!rob_plum wrote:its not that i need to keep up with them i just wanted the spree a little snappier for in town in traffic i don't need a crazy fast just something to make it get up and go a little bit thats all...

Dude you dont know what your talkin about. Swap in a stock elite motor with a aftermarket vari and your spree will be quick 40-45 mph. Sprees are lighter but not as much storage. The elite motor swap is cheap dont listen to jj slowsiveJJ Joseph wrote:Well, for about $3000, you should be able to build up a nice Spree that will keep up with a $500 Elite or Dio!rob_plum wrote:its not that i need to keep up with them i just wanted the spree a little snappier for in town in traffic i don't need a crazy fast just something to make it get up and go a little bit thats all...
