Yours just clamps to the ct manifolds rubber connector?
yeah just clamps on to the manifold where you would put the carb! And a bicycle pump on the tire tube valve, and the plug in the exhaust tightens up to make it leak proof but I still got to test it it needs a couple of days to cure.
Cost:
$9 for tire pressure gauge.
$1.50 for pipe 32mm
$1.00 for cap on pipe
$6 for plug
$2 for tire valve,
And I already had the silicone.
Drilled a hole for the valve in the plug.
And a hole for the gauge on the shaft of the pipe siliconed them in with overkill of silicone(only want to make it once)
Filled the plug with silicone and put a bolt through to squeeze so it expands in the exhaust. And results are pending! But it's cheap and you can get the parts at any hardware store!

you may have wanted to use less silicone. Ive noticed in house repairs if you use that much it wont dry ever. It should cure with in 24 hours max. Usually 12 is good. This is the one Im building.

I tried an expanding boat drain plug and it leaked so i had to come up with something else. I use a piece of rubber about 1/16" thick that we have at work and it seals up great, gasket material doubled up would be good too.

yeah the plug was the one thing I was worried about getting a seal and I had not thought about what to do your idea was just what I needed!! These tools should get sticky someplace as I'm sure others in time would want to do similar and when I was searching the Internet there was not a lot of ideas out there for our particular need!

What yall think of my leak down tester? just built it today at the local hardware. The owner helped me so it doesnt look quite like what I had in mind and havent tested it yet but it costed less than 15 bucks Had to use an elbow where it clamps in the ct manifold because of the T but I think it will work fine
