99 sa50
hello,
i have a corsa bore i am thinking about installing in my 99.
i have 9:1 gears, high speed vari, sef ramp plate, assorted weights, aftermarket (i dont kno what it is called) i think it is a 1000 rpm clutch spring that adjust the width or the rear pully.
i also have a 28 mm carb with intake.
i had plans of doing a full build. i did not want to start it till i had everything. i needed a cht guage and some jets.
i am not new to scooter tuning just been a while. so my question(s) are ( i plan on buying a cht first) but i want to install the corsa with a stock intake (jetted) uni filter, stock exaust. would that be a bad idea to install?
any sugestions with that?
i could use the 28 mm carb (trying to aviod buying jets for it)
and i want a smaller carb

This thread is moved for reason: Technical questions should be posted to Performance Technical thread rather than Builds. The builders are over in this thread too.
[Performance Technical] - Does your Spree/Elite already run great, and you're trying to make it quicker/faster? Need a monster motor swap? Discuss your ideas here.

Jetted stock intake and exhaust is fine. 28mm carb is big for 72cc.

Not using the 28mm because you dont want to buy jets
You will have to get jets for the stock carb too.
A 28mm carb would be better than a stock carb.
Why not just build it? you already have all the parts.
9:1 gears will be too short for a corsa
If you like to wheelie, or drag race......9.1's are good.

The stock carb would help choke it down for the gears.

The stock carbs pilot jet would supply very little gas/oil to cool the over reving 9.1 gears.
I would buy some jets and tune the setup you already have.

Re: 99 sa50
Thanks for all the replys everyone I did install the corsa I'm running a 98 jet stock carb.
I have not ran it much though and do understand the pilot is small it worries me.
I was going to buy some bigger jets.
Should I Just install the 28mm 130 main with about a 50 pilot.?
I try to keep it out of the idle circuit jet flow when I run it I'm in the habit of not closing the throttle after wot runs on the stock bore

Re: 99 sa50
Greetings:
For ease of tuning, the OKO 24 and 26 are available at the same price as the 28 at Treatland.tv. About $80 or $85 with shipping. Either one will work better in the low end and I'm not sure a Corsa can use the 28 without a really big pipe. There simply isn't enough demand for fuel, even at the 10.5K RPM mine runs, for a carb that big. Your mileage may vary.
