Exhaust Port Fuel/Oil Leak

I just installed a new Taz top end kit and got it to fire back up. Compression is at 115psi and it is running, but I'm getting a leak from the exhaust port and it sounds like it is drowning. Has a really deep sounding idle.

Since the old exhaust port had a thread that was rusted to it, I used just 10mm bolts to attach the exhaust to the cylinder as seen in the photo.

I have the air/fuel screw set to 1 7/8's. What gives?

it a gasket that looks like a washer look at the old jug it may be stuck in it...

I'll double check. Should there even be that much fuel in that area though? It seems weird to me that it would be coming out of the exhaust.

if you just put it together you oil the piston when you did it that is what your seeing for the most part ...did you fine the washer?????????

Put the used washer on and if it still leaks get a new one. They are crush gaskets and if old gasket is crushed more than it should be you will get a leak again.

I double checked and the gasket/washer is installed. And to clarify we aren't talking about a tiny amount of oil, we are talking a pretty good amount of fuel, though I did flood it trying to get it to start originally.

Give it some time to clear out the flooding from earlier. You're going to get some of the fuel mix out the pipe unless your scooter is burning it all up in the cylinder, which i doubt.

by the photo i see some oil or gas on it you may be just freeking out and make sure its is good and snug...

You should probably just get a new exhaust gasket and some exhaust studs instead of those bolts. With a leak there when the piston starts traveling up to compress the leak at the exhaust allows some of the fuel mix to escape before it reaches the spark which can cause your bore to run lean
