'86 Spree Iowa build

Post by SirBLaughs »

Hi everyone, just wanted to share my build with the community.

I have myself a red 1986 Spree Iowa, a black 1985 Spree and one more 1985 Spree that is completely dismantled, bolt by bolt in a box or two lol...
They were given to me from a good friend who just didn't have the time. Hopefully, i'll make the time lol...

Here are some pics:

I haven't done much other than clean up the frames, sort through the box of parts and diagnose what needs to be done/bought. My goals with the scooters aren't crazy; I just want to get them up and running so they look presentable. I am fairly mechanically inclined as i've built a Honda car before. I'll be sure to update this page as I progress.
Thanks for the support and thanks for this fantastic site.

Greets to you SirB. Have fun with your jigsaw puzzle! At least with this, if there's a piece missing you can hunt one down. Good luck with resurrecting your scoots (worse case scenario you should have enough parts to build one runner) :thumbwink:

Thanks for the advice. I've already done a lot of searching on this site. I found out about the "Iowa" exhaust and already im looking at aftermarket scooter exhausts.

Was the "Iowa" version only for the state of "Iowa?" from Iowa to NYC... :surprise:

Nice Find, my Vision (Elite) was like that except dirtier. It's worth all the fun putting it together and sourcing the missing bits..
