2001 elite 125cc yamaha build, Go YAMAHONDA!!!!!

Post by spkrboxx »

So I acquired a 2004 VINO 125 from a friend who was getting divorced and would rather give it to me than let her get it. I had already given the AF16 a budget build with a Taz 50mm, 24mm OKO, and all of the tranny guts. But I wanted to be different and got this swap in my head and it all kind of spiraled out of control. Rear end was pretty straight forward other than the wiring, the front disc brake was a whole other story... (this is just a taste I will post some more pics later)

I will say I was hoping for a little more oomph. It rides super smooth down the street and feels much more stable at higher speeds. But the AF16 I pulled off was a lot quicker off the line. The 125cc just seems to keep pulling though. It doesnt accelerate as quickly to 30 as the 2 stroke but it will just keep on going up to 60 pretty easily. I just didnt like the feeling of the little pizza cutter tires and wanted something a little different. Still it looks pretty sweet and the front disc brake is super nice. With the stock elite suspension even with the c100 front shocks just dived anytime you touch the front brake.
