that what the speedo says on your spree not ure actual speed gps verify everything.. and if you get gears their is no way you can get to full speed or even high rpms without going down a mountain.. its like starting a 5 speed in 3rd gear......

Im modding the clutch for higher stall as well, the torque multiplication of higher rpms should give it quite a bit more go off the line. Listen to the stall speed of the new scooters, its quite a bit higher than the old school stuff. A friend of mine just got a 2012 yamaha zuma, i told him im gonna spank him with the spree when i get it together, lol.

any aftermarket grab springs can be used you just have to shorten them by triming some off the end heating it up and bending a new hook on to it

wow you guys are noobs

Ive built briggs 5hp racing engines for 10 years, i know a little about centrifugual clutches. Weigh it, drill/grind a few grams off, see results, remove and do again until desired stall. Same concept as with the governor in my Buick GNX transmission. Easiest way without forking around with the springs.

Only pic i have right now is a crappy cell phone one of the head getting cut on the lathe.

I say giv'er! Ya got nothing to lose. This thread is what it should be all about, taking somthing that was never ment to go fast, modding the heck out the original parts and fabbing up some other stuff,. Then drive the living crap out of it untill it breaks or not. Learn from what diddnt work fix it and drive the crap out of it again... that's fun right there :-)
Dude! Ya Can't Fix Stupid!

I like making stuff fast that wasnt intended to be. One of my cars is an 81 Pontiac Catalina, typical grandpa sedan, actually passed down to me from my grandpa. I yanked the 3.8 v6 out of it in favor of more power. Built a 500 horse/600ft lb of torque stroked/bored 468 Olds engine, built trans, rear, etc etc. Now grandpa turns a quicker 1/4 mile than a z06 corvette, with a trunk full of groceries. Makes a good sleeper, hopefully the spree will do the same. :coolcruise:

Yea, a buddy of mine made me an adaptor to bolt to stock intake, i will be porting the intake to open it up a little bit too. Im just going to join the carb to the manifold with a 1" heater hose. May have some issues with the throttle cable, i guess well see how that goes when the time comes.

Yes that is electric choke, plugs right up to the honda plug too  The carb is a brand new TK 19mm 2 stroke scooter carb, factory on some 50cc 2 strokes. Should wake the spree up nicely. It uses mikuni jets which is nice too. Wonder how bad my gas consumption is going to go down though

I would consider buying the CT intake, where do you get it from though?
