Hey guys so I just recently purchased a sym dd50 with the following specs.
Specs:
72cc Corsa
V8 exhaust
Koso temp gauge
7:8:1 gears
Blue clutch spring
Stock carb / Intake
I was wondering what the best carb size would be for quick acceraltion / street use. It'll mostly be an around town bike but I do have one long 20-30 min stretch that is around 35-50 mph so I'd like to keep temps down as much as possible. Would getting a Big Black mani make much of a difference from a regular ct mani on a 72cc?
Within the next 2 weeks, I'll be getting it ported and buying a new carb / intake. So my setup would look something like this when done.
72cc Corsa (Ported and Matched)
V8 Exhaust
Big Black Mani or CT Mani
19-28mm Carb
Koso temp gauge
New clutch spring
New rollers
Kevlar belt
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: 72cc Corsa setup, help with carb / intake setup.
Generally speaking, a smaller carb is going to provide more low end power, while a larger carb is going to provide better wot performance and top end power.

In the shop as of today getting new carb/intake along with being ported, both intake and boost. ill get pics when i get it back. I forgot to ask when i was at the shop but does anyone know how i would be able to lower or drop the bike a little without having to buy $250 drop shocks?
