1986 honda elite 80 headlight conversion

Dose any body know if I can take my old sealbeam headlight out of my 86 Honda elite 80 and change it to a 2004 halogen headlight but still use all my factory parts. I want to just get the lens but I am not sure if I would have to change everything.

any help would be great

Conversion to later model Halogen light is a good idea for night riders.

Elite 94-01 folks have been successful in a similar conversion. Looking at CH80 parts fiche it looks possible with a minor harness change and the rubber cover. Good luck and post back!

thanks I will let you know whats happening as I go.

I have also added pics of my project bike. I have just got it freshly painted green and I am waiting for the brake shoes to come in witch should be some time this week.

It has new breaks front and rear and new air filter and fresh paint job. It is an 1986 in great shape runs great and I have replaced all the light bulbs everything works if your interested in it I can get a updated picture. I have Ontario owner ship and keys.
