How to tell when to replace drive belt on spree

Hello, I was wondering how to tell when you should replace the drive belt on a spree. Also, what are the signs it will show when it's closer to being replaced?

I just changed the belt in my Dio after about 3000 miles since the last belt. It had about 6 missing teeth, and the kevlar was shredding so that there was balls of kevlar fluff in the case. It still worked, but I'd say it was about time to change it.

Pull the side cover and get a measuring tool (digital calipers) and measure the width of the belt. The specs are in the manual. It can loose top end if its really narrow somtimes up to 4 miles.
