It takes a bunch of trial and error. First tell every one what your setup is besides the carb, what scooter its on and what motor and what size and if there are any mods. That way if someone has a similar setup you can at least get a starting point. Get yourself a cylinder head temp gauge, if don't already have one. And get a bunch of new plugs you will need them for plug chops.

Greetings:

Nice article (and breathy French singer is very soothing) DunRite. But a guy named FullRace808 can't be bothered with all that pesky reeading, can he?

Take my advice oh-eight. Don't think about it. Save time for riding. Just screw in a 50/140 combo and whatever jet needle came with your carb. Don't worry about scooter's make, model, displacement, compression ratio, intake manifold, pipe, riding style, altitude and air filter. I'm almost certain that nothing bad will happen to your cylinder.

I read this over and over today, seems like a great source for info :)

I did get a bit confused on the terms: Air screw in - Less air? Air screw out - more air?

Correct. Are you using a cht gauge?

Edited my post but you caught the quote, LOL.

Yeah, I just installed it this past weekend. It's getting cold in Michigan, wrenching/riding season is coming to an end...

What's "normal" idle temps on an Af16?
