The center spring and roller weights work hand in hand to determine when the scooter changes gear.

The clutch springs determine at what RPM the clutch engages.

They do not need to be changed at the same time, however it would make good sense to replace them all while the clutch is apart.

You sure?for example on a stock motor setup, if you just change the clutch springs to 2k shoe springs, you can only go so low on the weights before you start loosing topend due to not enough weight for high belt ride height. So it depends on what the setup of everything is going to be.

Did you mean the CENTER spring? Unless you're saying the clutch starts to slip, I don't follow.

What happens when you add a high stall to the clutch and not change anything else? You get belt drop on take off right? Hens the 2nd gear take off.unless the weights are to light to begin with thats not going to happen. Now to stop that from happening you lighten the weights or add a stiffer center spring. But now you can only lighten so much before you sta. Making it to light where your loosing belt ride height and loose topend.the center spring not only controls belt transision but also initial belt movement too depending on what type of rear pulley sheave and variator rsmp combo. But thats getting a bit tech for guyd just learning do lets keep it simple. Lots of variables to adjust.

Ah, now I follow, Baka-san..
It's hard to keep it simple with something as tricky and multi-faceted as a cengrifugal/mechanical belt drive and clutch assembly. Sometimes oversimplification leads to incorrect assumptions, like "heavier weights make you go faster". Don't underestimate your ability to explain things in a way that even I can understand. That post was a good example. If I get it, most people will, cuz I ain't all that smo-art. A-Hyuk!

THere are no aftermarket springs for the spree clutch.

You can drill out weight from the clutch pucks for a higher stall.

I have heard (but never confirmed) that jog springs may fit.

Greetings:

Some have posted heating one of the hooks on a set of longer Variated Engine clutch springs, then re-bending to match the Spree clutch spring length. You'll need to be precise to match all 3 springs, but it's been done.
