FOund these http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/5/ ... -Tire.aspx
but 90/90-10 is what a member recommended. Would these 100/90-10's work? I'm looking for best traction so I'm open to any recommendations. I think the danger around here is tiny gravel on wet pavement. I'm not planning on riding in the rain, just looking for safe (good traction) all around tires. Thanks!
PS do I need to get tubes also? I read on one site that you just change the tire like you would a bike tire and use a tube.?

Greetings:
The 90/90s clear by a whisker and a half, so a full cm. wider will probably act as an effective brake, if you can stuff it in there at all. The width of the tire has limited effect on its traction anyway. In some cases (rain) a wider tire won't grip as well as a narrow one. What matters is the compound of which it's composed. I have no trouble with Pirelli SL-26 or Michelin S-1. If you have a spare kidney, go for the Dunlop Happy-Go-Racing TT Smart, or whatever their Japanese name may be.
Those Classics look good. The 3.00s are still bigger than the Aero's stock skins. 3.50s may OR MAY NOT fit.

Greetings:
Yes, new tubes are AA Very Good Idea. 25 year-old rubber in a critical place otherwise.
Do NOT run tubeless unless using Met rims. Tube size covers 2 tire sizes. Get the ones for 3.50 x10 if buying 90s. I don't know what Dog means by 120s or his Offset shock. He's a little Offset himself sometimes.

cant hurt to replace the tube while your in there, right? also if your heart is set on the 90/90's i have to recommend going with a metro wheel. that wide of a tire on the skinny stock aero wheel makes for an undesired sidewall angle. ive mounted 3.0x10's on the stock aero wheels and they fit decent enough for me not to worry about going hard into a corner.
rear metro wheels arent super hard to find, and usually are pretty cheap. met wheels have the same diameter drum brake so its slides on to the af05 perfectly. front met wheels will also fit on the aero, but require brake parts from an elite(cant remember the model year right now, but easily searchable on this site.)
as far as tire brands go, i usually stick with continentals. zippy 1's or the new twists. i dont have a ton of experience in the rain with them tho..

I would defiantly go with some metro rims with the 90/90s tubeless is nice and safer in the case of a blowout. And not to mention the 90/90s look super fat on the metro rim compared to the stock rims and looks real nice. And you need a brake panel from a 94 or later elite for the front metro to fit another nice upgrade since its a bigger drum for the front gotta slow down too lol. As for which tires can't comment yet. I've been mix and matching since I started. Have heard great things about the parellis and the s1's. I'm going the s1s since I got a fresh one on a met rim I bought.
Couple pics both 90/90s the left is a stock rim and the right is a met rim. And the other is the brake panel.
