Both could be problems. If the cable's hanging up, the slide won't drop. As for the bystarter, I'd have to see a pic to see how bad that problem is.

Good news is that all the issues seem to be carb related. If you've had it with carbs, there are a couple of guys that can redo them mail-order. Greg at uspmale@yahoo.com is one; he also has spare parts.

I think I'm going to do just that. I'm not going to send mine to him for rebuild, rather get another one and just hold onto the old one. Thanks for the help!
