That's right, anymore than half a turn out from completely closed, "clockwise", and it will die
from being lean. I close it, clockwise, gently, and snug. Then turn it out half a turn, 180 degrees out from closed. 3/4 a turn and it starts acting up.
A full turn and it dies.

Don't waste money on float and needle valve. They work fine., if they diddnt you would have fuel peeing out on the ground every second it was running. The seat is part of the carb and not replaceable like on snowblowers and the like. If the fuel petcock works right you won't need one of those either. A float valve, float and petcock will cost you a ton of money. If you order anything order anything order an airbox lid gasket or get some feel and stick foam gasket to make your own gasket, then find the proper sized screw to attach the air box lid properly. Make sure you buy more than one spark plug , buy 3 or 4 so you can do plug chops. With out the air box functioning as Mr Honda intended replacing crank seals won't do anything for you right away because you can never know they made things lean by being worn out or not, never and plan to replace them but not if they are fine. First rule of trouble shooting... Fix only what you know is broke first.

Last summer the guy let me ride it.
I rode it 15 miles or so that day.
He put it away and it sat all winter.
I had no idea it had expired tags back then.
I will try and see if I can straighten out that
Airbox lid and see if I can seal it.
Spark plug on monday, and gapper too.
Thanks guys

Post a pic of the lid if you can let us have a look, maybe its not that bad. If you dig back a couple of years in my posts, you will find a thread on how I augmented my air box lid gasket, with peel and stick foam. I bet if you go get the proper gasket ordered the lid will work with the proper screwl

My little brotber called and needed my help to shovel a truckload
Of gravel into a raised garden. While I was there, I reached in the
Airbox of the spree and pushed down on the foam to compress
It, blocking some airflow like the cover would. I revv'ed er up
And she did not die. He is going after a load of dirt now.
After I help him unload that, I am going to Harry's downtown.
Hopefully they have my plug, 2 stroke oil, and an air box cover
Screw. Got to get a gapper too.
My payday came early today, was supposed to be monday.

My little brother wound up getting several truckloads of dirt so I got exhausted.
I took a nap and called Harry's and they did not have the spark plug.
I called the auto parts store and they put me on hold for 15 minutes.
gonna call them again. :)

I called an auto parts store, and they have 6 ngk bpr6hs spark plugs.
I told em to hold all of them for me.
