What Scooter is this ?? Now with Pictures !!....

A Test of your scooter skills
A friends of mine just got given a Scooter, no key or papers, so of course we don't know what it is
(It may have papers in the storage we can't open)

It looks like a Jazz in shape, but has a crome "mouth" on the front of it in about the same place as his jazz has the little holes
it kind of has a retro look in the * end
the lights are molded into the body panels instead of being on the plate area
it sits lower than his jazz, but is very similar otherwise
i assumed it was a jazz, but have been looking for pictures to match it to, and haven't seen anything that looks right

Any input from anyone ?

I'll post some pictures next time i'm over there to take some

we are hoping to get into it and pull some panels off soon
no keys makes it hard to get into it right now
how can we pop the seat without a key ?

it looks VERY much like this chinese one
same little crome mouth
a little more retro in the back end, but almost the same
i will be playing with it tomorrow, so will take pictures

can anyone give me info about these ?
anything we should watch for ?
it hasn't been started in at least a year

This shape of scooter has been copied many time and badged under many names.
Impossible to say what you are looking at without pix.
Anything from Honda Metropolitan to Fly to Wang-Shang Dang-Pang...

so i have a few pictures just have to post them
but they had torn half of it apart by the time i got there
but we did manage to pop the trunk and find the insurance papers
it is a 1988 Honda, japanese import
looks like a two stroke
it's a nice looking scoot

i'll work on getting those pictures up, but as i say, they took half of it apart before i could take pictures

We can tell just as much from the frame as we can from the bodywork.

The papers say it is a japanese import, does it have a name ?

there's a honda symbol right under the speedo
the paperwork says it's a 1988 honda
japanese import

it'll be a few days until i can get back to take some engine shots

one other thing you shood look for is all id number on the motor..

that would be a start at least, pictures would probably still have to wait a few days

the id number will be like af05 or af16 not just a lot of number .... it shood start with 2 letters ...
