94 Honda Elite SR speed options?

Post by iPhoneChris »

So bought me a 94 Elite SR today.

I dont wanna go bbk yet, but i do wanna increase speed some.

Iv read around and seems like a variator and a gear set will get me what i want for now.

So heres the 9:1 and variator from ebay that i found.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/370617065183

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221061031910

If i put these in, do i have to re jet or pre mix my fuel any more, or will the stock oil system be fine since im not increasing engine.

Lmk thanks guys!

Also would clutch springs be a good idea?

With the added gears you won't have to upjet. But I do believe you should upjet when you change the variator. Variator change lets the engine rev up higher. Probably upjet to an 85. And I think the stock pump in the SR is fine. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

No idea. I've been wondering that myself. Maybe he or someone who has used it can fill us in. I believe taz's variator comes with a ramp plate and the Kelli one doesn't.

Those are sold by forum member tazland001. Many people on this forum use his parts and he has tested all of the parts himself. I'd say they are a good deal
