Getting shop manual...

Post by AeroQc »

Hi there!

I'm new but I must say that this place is great!!!

I got a Honda Aero (NB50) from my cousin. It was behind her house for the last year. Since I'm in Quebec, it stayed in snow for a couple months. I wanna put it in shape so I need the shop manual but, I've been told it's a NB50 1987 and all I can find is the manual for 85... Is it the same one? I red that it was the same model but 85's one wasn't equip with kickstarter.

There is no 1987 NB50. Check VIN plate.

There is no 1987 NB50
:?
Our service manual is an early copy which covered only 1985. 1987 is a valid year for US Aeros and Honad later released a combined 1985-87 Service Manual.

Much service info from 1985 covers the later, but as the poster notes - no kick start in 1985. There's a 2 bolt intake in 1985 changed to 4 for 86/87 and minor electrical changes. There are parts compatibility issues like petcocks from 1985 don't fit newer Aeros - That info does not show up in the service manual.

I started to look at my Aero today. Checker the VIN and it's a NB50 1986.

Do you know a place where I can find that 85-87 version??

Google around. If anyone finds a free link please post. There are hits for paid downloads. Also eBay has paper copies for sale.
