Locked kick start
Ok so I have been off the site for awhile but recent events plus summer have got me wanting/needing to ride again.... So I put in a variator last winter but didnt quite finish. At some point the kick start gearing popped out and it is locked its back on fine but my real question is it ok to just use the electric start in this situation. Sorry for the dumb question.. I just want to make sure I also left the back cover that goes over the belt off...which I remember is ok if it's not raining etc.. I just put a brand new battery in so the electric start should be good to go...

Re: Locked kick start
Greetings:
As long as the kick mechanism isn't fouling the outer pulley, there's no problem mounting the kickless cover. You'll sleep better if you fix it though. Rear cover is more for Nicest People tidiness and child finger amputation liability than function. Pulleys run hot enough to sizzle off all but a driving Seattle rain.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Ok thank you yeah I think I will just try and fix it. It really just has me stumped.
Re: Locked kick start
What do you mean by locked? Can you post a picture of how you put it back together after the kick start gearing popped out? If you assemble it wrong it will seem locked up and its a simple fix.zenmaster222 wrote:Ok so I have been off the site for awhile but recent events plus summer have got me wanting/needing to ride again....
