Polini Corsa supplied Main jet

Post by LMH »

Ive recently found the MJ supplied with the corsa is definitely not for the 88+ US elites, I always knew there was a reason I never used them. I just assumed the kits didnt even come with one ha.
If youve used a carb that they worked in let me know.

The main jet supplied with these kits is for the carb that comes on the Dio. The main jet is different and im pretty sure you can change the pilot on these carbs too.

Has anyone tried to get a dio carb and use it? I still need to source some jets for that 25mm carb set up, any chance you know where to find them? The local Vespa shop probably can but I always end up buying more than just what I go for so I try to avoid it like the plague.

Yes people have used them. Im running off of memory hear so someone correct me if im wrong please. Our elites come with the keihin PA series carb. Different main fixed pilot. The honda Dios (not exactly sure which ones) came with the PB series carb that takes the MAin jets supplied with the kits and has a replaceable pilot jet. Ive seen the genuine used PB carbs on ebay before for a reasonable price. Alot of chinese copys on there now. The new OEM replacement PB carb isnt worth the money might as well go with a proper size carb at that point. You can reconize them cause they have a round bowl. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dio-ZX-Shadow-D ... 0872273060

Greetings:

Apparently the case intake port bolt pattern is the same on the AF18-later AF series engines. Methinks Mousewheels was referring to wider bolt spacing at the carb flange on the PB carb, something I'd read before.

So you have to run the af18 air box or the dd50 air box as well it seems. With the replaceable pilot tho it would just make sense to run a uni with it like I did with the 4t,minas, and piaggio. Id like one of them carbs and intakes or I need to fashion an adapter to mount a mina 19mm carb. I have a couple of them at least.

I'm currently running a dio intake/pb carb setup. I have an air box from a '90 dio sr. Slight mods to mount the air box, and had to drill/tap for a new vacuum nipple on the intake manifold. I like the stock look but it's a stock motor, well, almost.
