Fallout's official build thread-questions & concerns
Graphite9, you told me I make too many threads, so here it is. I will post all my questions about my build on this thread from now on, starting with this- Do all parts from a 89 elite interchange with a 92? The 92 is "crashed" and I am really hoping the frame isn't bent but if it is ill more than likely swap the motor. Also, the forks seem like they would give a better ride in the 92. Is there a big difference in the motors? Neither of them are any a special restricted model or whatever. Also if anyone has any plastics for these years let me know, any pieces in any usable condition. Thanks

Thinking of lowering the spree. If anyone has done this i would like to know how it rides and handles compared to stock.

Re: Fallout's official build thread-questions & concerns
Can anyone tell me if the forks/front wheel/rear wheel off a 92 will bolt on an 89 elite? I like the looks of the 89 more but the wheels and forks look more heavy duty on the 92

Ok what are some good gear combos for a DIO trans? What ones do you run? I'd like to keep bottom end and of course have a good top end

Re: Fallout's official build thread-questions & concerns
Is there any difference in the dio performance vs an afo5e, stock vs stock? Basically I want to know if the dio is heavily restricted from the factory to the point where adding say,a pipe, will gain me more than if I put a pipe on an afo motor

Re: Fallout's official build thread-questions & concerns
Well I have an afo5e I got for $0, I could buy a dio for 200 but I could use that money for upgrades
Re: Fallout's official build thread-questions & concerns
It just depends what you want to do. If you're looking for about 30-40 then you can stick to the afofe but if you are looking all out speed then go with the dio and like pauly said, if you want EVEN MORE speed than a fully built dio can do, then go with the yamaha jog motor. Judging from all your posts that I've seen you post, I'd have to make an educated guess and say you seem to be fine with the afofe or dio. Honestly you just need to take some time and actually read over posts. Go through the build threads itll teach you a lot.
