honda aero 50 nb50 kickstart problem stuck

i was going around the block and stopped at a friends house. i went back outside then i kickstarted my scooter and it made a high pitch sound that went along with the reving of the scooter. i thought it was just the exauhst. but i got on the scooter and revved it then it didnt move at all then i turned it off. i got off of it then tryed to start it again. the kick start wouldnt budge at all. i pushed it home and opened up the transmission case. the converting gear thing that goes between the engine shaft and the first wheel of the variable tranmission was off laying on the mottom of the case. i looked at the kkickstart cog and one of the teeth were broken off. it seems to me that the broken tooth is the problem. what else could be the problem

also i cannot move thefront wheel of the variable speed trans. is the thing seized?

You may have just suffered a fatal run-away motor.
That front pulley is a variator and should spin with the crankshaft ...not be locked up.
The high pitch sound was possibly the belt, but with the revving,
it may have been the piston screaming as it went up and down the cylinder walls without enough
fuel and oil to keep it cooled and lubed.
That will cause the engine to seize and then you get kick-starter failure as well if you try starting the seized motor.
First confirm this : Is the crankshaft frozen in one place ?...
Answer this : Is the variator capable of moving laterally along the slide bushing. ?
And one more : What is the condition of the belt.?

i think the reason why the variator isnt moving is because of the lack of movement in the crankshaft, which i believe is stuck. belt is in good condition. and what should i check for the variator moving along the slide bushing.

With the crankshaft stuck, you are going to need someone with experience in this because I have never seized a motor.
It's not the end of the scooter, but will take some work and money to repair.
Most anybody would build a motor at this point, and pump it up with a bore kit.
Try a wrench on the crankshaft nut that holds the variator on...you may have to go to the other side at the flywheel nut, depending on which way it needs to turn to free up the piston.
That may not be possible without pulling the cylinder first.
