NEED HELP 89 elite e dio swap

Looking to do a dio swap on a 89elite e

Could someone please help on explaining what all needs to be done? Or point me to where I can find out?

I have seen at least one person who just cut a S mount , but other people I talk to say you need to weld the mounts..

I can get a S mount easy.. And have a 89 that I am buying in a week.. Just need to know what all needs to be done to get a dio in it

Looking to do a dio swap in a 89

I'm in hawaii and have always been jog bike but now I'm headed to the mainland and elites are super cheap and jogs are very hard to find where in going

Looking to do a 89 dio swap (will be shipping a dio block and a S engine mount over when I go)

Just would like some more information on all that needs to be done

I have seen a few swaps on here but none are to detailed

Some people seem to weld mounts others just cut the S mount?

I know I'm going to most likely have to move the shock mount .. Is there a safe way to avoid welding?

And is there anything I have to specifically do when I cut the mount? Are there bushings or bearings that need to be removed and reset?

Any tips are appreciated
