spree bbk and 21mm jetting

What main jet should I start with on my spree. Got the tax bbk and 21mm carb kit with a mlm. Kit came with a 102 and a 95

when braking in a new jug you need to be cool with it run some exter oil in the tank and do some heat cycle as well ..

I'm having great luck with a 95 main and 45 pilot. I had to set mine up from scratch because I got the carb setup from someone who had got it from taz and never installed it but robbed the jets out of the carb so I bought the two jet kits and went to it and I have the first mlm spree pipe He made so you should be good to go with the 95.

Is it necessary to change the air filter when you add a big bore kit? I just purchased my 1986 spree and have plans to make it faster. I have the big bore kit, performance CDI and coil kit, as well as a new jet for the carb......am I on the right track? I got the bbk off of ebay from chopchop...he said it was bolt and go and it came with the a new jet. I look forward to hearing from y'all.

Yes that kit needs a lot more air and needs free flow to not be too rich when you install that jet with the kit in the stock carb. you can do one of two things mod the airbox according to the instructions that taz includes in the kit, or use an after market filter that fits the stock carb. A uni filter part number that fits is in the instructions. A super easy cheap way to mod the air box are these

http://www.mfgsupply.com/ufv-6.html. Thats the way i would go. Get a cheap step drill at the hardware store and mod the air box with those little plugs I would also save up for the carb kit it really helps.

Yes, you need to A: flow more air and B: the stock air box boot will not fit the new carb. I ended up going with a uni twin stage filter.

I can't get this thing to run worth a crap. I was able to hit 40 mph with the stock pipe. Put the mlm on todayand it does 30. CCan't figure out jetting

Electrode is brown, tried a 95 main, 100 main and 105 main, tried a 45 and 50 pilot moved the needle in every position, still cant get it to even hit the powerband. Is anyone else running this set up with ChopChop's gears? According to the plug it's jetted good in my eyes but obviously not. Also when the engine is warm you have to hold it half throttle for it to start.

id drop your pilot to a 42 maybe even a 40 and put the 95 main in with the clip one up from center.also if you google plug chop the tip colour is not a accurate reading .You need a new plug and you want to look at the ring right at the bottom of the electrode looking down into the plug.Sometimes it can be hard to see so you need to use a magnafieing glass
