Ran into an amazing deal on a second 1994 Honda Elite SR50 dio.
It needs a top-end anyways, so I am wondering if there are any BBK that can be installed right in place of the stock and use all stock parts carb and pipe.
I will change the variator and gearing because that can be done on a stock scooter for much improved performance.
Anything this easy that is worth the time and keep it reliable?

Re: Dio Big bore swap and go?
you can do that with pretty much all the stock stroke big bore kits. I was running a char mo 50mm bore with non ported case on my 96 elite s with stock carb ,stock exhaust and 9to1 gears and had that setup on my bike for over 7years with no issues at all.I just tied open the oil injector, ran motul 710 oil and about an ounce of oil per tank full. upjetted to a 88 and thats it. buried the needle on the flat no problem.you just wont get the full power of the kit but good enough.
Nothing like getting stroked!

Re: Dio Big bore swap and go?
That sounds perfect. What's the point in adding oil the the fuel? Does that not lean the fuel mixture somewhat? I always thought it allowed less gas to mix with the air.
Re: Dio Big bore swap and go?
with a bbk you will need more oil then the stock oil injector will provide. there for you need to add oil to the tank.

Re: Dio Big bore swap and go?
But mostly because the bigger bore will require more fuel. With a larger bore, you have more area at a higher rpm (assuming you upgrade the pipe), both require more oil than the stock pump.evilone wrote:True, which is why bakaracer upjetted to an 88.ktroy wrote:Does that not lean the fuel mixture somewhat?
