Okay, so here in Chicago we just got about 2 inches of snow... and I couldn't help myself. I pulled the Spree outside and took it for a quick little run... Mind you I don't have knobbies. It was the only time ever that a Spree feels powerful with someone on it.
It was truly fun, only doing about 5mph in the snow, but if you try this beware. Do it in your front lawn so if you fall, you don't scratch up yourself or your Spree.
I am not responsible for any stupid acts you perform after reading this.
Black 85 Spree-SOLD
Red 87 Spree... Ended up buying the same one mentioned below.
I started riding my uncle's 87 Spree at the drag strip when I was 8...
It's easier to stop caring three years ago than it is to fix it in present time.
Ive been out in the winter on my spree before and knobbies really help they are softer compound. Its fun burning around when its really cold people look at you funny

Sheet metal screws with the little lip around the top. #8 I think would almost be the right ones. They are what all the ice racers used before the proper studs were invented.
The ice racers also use full-circle metal fenders for when those screws or studs fly out. Get some, or Titanium underwear, unless you want to join the Vienna Boys' Choir.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.
