question regarding body panels
Guys, working on repainting one of my sprees and in the process of cleaning the rear body panels. Removing the oil, dirt, and gunk. Inside the panels is foam. Does this foam serve any purpose? Does it deflect heat from the motor? Can I remove and clean or will this cause the panel to get too hot? Its practically crumbling in my hand. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: question regarding body panels
Greetings:
Old polyurethane crumbles, can't be saved. Used for noise suppression, heat shouldn't be a problem.
